Northern Adelaide Irrigation Scheme (NAIS)

The purpose of the NAIS project was to expand the beneficial use of recycled water through the augmentation of the Bolivar Wastewater Treatment Plant.

It involved the development of a new advanced water recycling plant, distribution network and winter water storage aquifer for horticultural irrigation in the Northern Adelaide Plains.

Delivering an Optimal Turnkey EI&C Solution to SA Water

ATSYS was engaged as the primary EIC contractor for this project, and successfully delivered an optimal turnkey solution to SA Water. We worked efficiently with all subcontractors, to adhere to all project deliverables and within the required project schedule. This solution consisted of:

  • 4 LV Switchrooms
  • Telemetry network over a 30km area
  • Control System with of over 2,000 I/O points
  • 1,200 electrical drawings delivered

As part of these works, ATSYS provided value add to SA Water as reduced project costs and timeline, through changing the specification of the switchboards from stainless steel to aluminium and optimising the telemetry network to negate the need for RTU’s.
