DBCT LiDAR Shiploader Collision Avoidance System

Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal (DBCT) Management engaged ATSYS to design a replacement Stockyard Anti-Collision. The Anti-Collision System is the primary safety protection preventing machine to machine collisions within the stockyard. An existing Anti-Collision system was installed on the site in 2009/10, but has suffered with many issues since this time.

As part of this project ATSYS performed all functional safety design in accordance with the latest machine safety standards, and produced deliverables including:

  • Safety Level Determination Report
  • Safety Requirements Specification
  • Software Safety Requirements Specification
  • FMEA & Risk Assessment workshops
  • Functional Safety Management Plan
  • Safety Verification Report

ATSYS also provided a full detailed electrical design package for the new system
