Hope Valley WTP Chlorine Plant MHF

To comply with Water Quality performance requirements and reduce the health risk to the community and plant workers from consumption of the treated water at the Hope Valley Water Treatment Plant, ATSYS successfully completed all electrical and controls design for the Hope Valley Water Treatment Plant Chlorine Plant Major Hazard Facility Project.

Improving Treated Water Quality at the Hope Valley Water Treatment Plant

ATSYS delivered high quality electrical controls solutions including:

  • Chlorination control system modified to interface with new scrubber unit and new panels
  • Upgrade of existing control system to latest technologies
  • New building entry panels at all access points
  • New local control station and new control panel with hardwired circuits for new emergency scrubber

ATSYS successfully delivered their works for the Hope Valley WTP Chlorine Plant MHF project within the proposed timeline. This aided SA Water in reducing the associated water consumption risk and further assisting in avoiding the Hope Valley Water Treatment plant being classified as a Major Hazard Facility under HIPAP 4.
